The Black Knight gets Green: Wildstone begins laying sod

The Black Knight golf course at Wildstone is getting green! On July 30th, Wildstone began laying sod on Canada's first Gary Player designed golf course, and will continue to provide the finishing touches throughout the summer . "Only 5 percent of golf courses in Canada use turf," says Wildstone President Joel Savage. "We want to ensure that when we open next spring this is a first class quality product." The latest reports also indicate that the legend himself, Gary Player, will once again be visiting the site in the fall for a pre-opening preview. Player will inspect progress on the Wildstone course and community to ensure readiness prior to the grand opening in the Spring of 2009. "We've got a great course in an exceptional Rocky Mountain location," says Savage. "We look forward to reviewing the development with Mr. Player, and to demonstrating that we are living up to his exacting standard."
