Golf Legend Gary Player Comes to Cranbrook

Gary Player visited Cranbrook and the Wildstone property on September 18 as part of the groundbreaking and media launch of the Black Knight golf course opening for play in 2008.

His visit was packed with activities:

• Horseback tour of the Wildstone site
• Planting the first flag on Gary Player's first Canadian course
• Junior Golf Clinic and Presentation of Annual Awards at the Cranbrook Golf Club
• Planning and Strategy Meetings with Havaday Developments

Touring the rolling East Kootenay landscape on horseback, Mr. Player marveled at the spectacular views Wildstone will offer. "This is the most beautiful site we've ever built a golf course on."
